Organic food is less polluted with toxic chemicals such as hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, etc.
When you ingest toxic chemicals your body has to detoxify them.
That process robs your body of vitamins and minerals. Also the detoxification process can produce toxic chemicals on its own.
Antibiotics in your food can kill the friendly bacteria in your digestive track, harming your digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Organic food is generally more nutritious and tastes better.

I’d assume it’s just plain healthier. There’s no added preservatives and it’s probably got less calories/sugars involved in the product. I’d just check out food labels and compare. It could help.

Well, obviously your system will be running clean, your liver and kidneys will not have to filter out all the usual bad stuff you put in. I expect that if you eat a lot of organic vegetables that your colon will be very healthy too. I used to eat an organic diet, and when I was, I had more energy. I liked eating good fried food too much though. ;)

They dont use pesticides when growing "organic" . So you get to avoid ingesting pesticides or other additives in the food.

BENEFITS OF ORGANIC FOOD ARE,
1) There are significantly more of several nutrients in organic crops. These include: 27% more vitamin C, 21.1% more iron, 29.3% more magnesium, and 13.6% more phosphorus. In addition, organic products had 15.1% less nitrates than their conventional counterparts. So, five servings of organic vegetables (lettuce, spinach, carrots, potatoes and cabbage) provided the recommended daily intake of vitamin C for men and women, while their conventional counterparts did not.
2)Organic crops appear to be higher in vitamin C, essential minerals and phytonutrients,
3) Conventionally grown fruit and vegetables purchased in supermarkets and other commercial retail outlets had ten times less mineral content than fruit and vegetables grown organically.
4)Organically grown apples were of higher quality than conventionally grown apples with respect to parameters that relate to health and taste (taste score, sugar-acidity-firmness index, nutritional fiber content and other factors used for quality assessment).
5)Organic soups sold commercially in the United Kingdom contain almost six times as much salicylic acid as non-organic soups. Salicylic acid, which is responsible for the anti-inflammatory action of aspirin, has been shown to help prevent hardening of the arteries and bowel cancer. The average level of salicylic acid in 11 brands of organic vegetable soup was 117 nanograms per gram, compared with 20 nanograms per gram in 24 types of non-organic soup.
6) Organically grown oranges contained up to 30 percent more vitamin C than those grown conventionally. Reporting the findings, the scientist said he had expected the conventional oranges, which were much larger than the organic oranges, to have twice as much vitamin C as the organic versions. Instead, their scientific testing revealed the higher level in the organic oranges.
7) No need to conume pesticides!

Hi – … It looks like "Vivax" has given you the low down on the nutritional benfits of organically grown food. ….. I just wanted to add one very important factor to this which Vivax did not mention. …. Organically grown foods are also much better for the planet and the natural eco-system because organic farming does not dump toxic chemical fertilizers and pesticides into the soil and water,.. and of course that is much healthier for humans and animals as well.
Oh,.. and one more thing,.. organically grown produce definately tastes better also.
