I enjoy drinking gr.tea.Would I still get the organic health benefits using milk?
High protein diet causing constipation…even with high fiber?
Hello all,
I started training for the spring season, and I’m looking to shed fat and build muscle. I am a 26 year old male, pretty athletic build, 6’1" 185.
I keep reading that for optimum muscle, one should eat 1 gram of protein for every pound of your TARGET weight. As I am trying to shed about 10 pounds of fat, I am eating approximately 175g of protein a day.
The problem is this…I am pooping rocks, and STRUGGLING to do so. I can tell that there is excess build-up in my intestines. Not only does it feel uncomfortable, but I can tell that my lower abdomen looks distended.
I eat 5-6 meals a day, with a big breakfast tapering off to lighter meals by the day’s end. I eat fiber at every meal, with the exception of my post-workout drink. I monitor my diet VERY closely. On average, I eat about 27g of fiber a day (range of 20-42g), 2400 calories. I drink close to a gallon of water every day. I eat organic yogurt every day. I eat anywhere from 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables every day.
I would think that even with my high protein diet, the amount of fiber/exercise/water that is in my regimen should allow me to be regular and poop with ease. Even coffee isn’t working too well these days.
I’m no nutritionist, so could someone potentially point out if I am missing a crucial element to healthy digestion? Any suggestions/products to try? *Is this a cause for concern?
I won’t take over the counter laxatives. I am open to altering my diet, and potentially supplementing it with natural aids ie: tea, fiber capsules/supplements, etc.

okay. so my mom comes home with this diet book, and it being a book, i opened and read the first page and i was interested… and then i finished the book and became intrigued.
summer is over you guys. am i the only one who gained weight after coming back from vacation? well, i gained quited a foot LBS staying on the computer, eating, then sleeping for about two-3 wks… ALOT!! and i really wanted your opinion on this diet.
you see, its a diet made to help you lose weight and keep it off, as well as working those problem areas… but im a bit concerned. it requires the use of a hCG injections daily as well as the use of alot of tea’s and cleansers and pills and drinks and stuff… though, supposedly everything is natural or "organic" ??
the thought of me putting a whole bunch of stuff into my body terrifies me…but i also have a strong feeling that by doing so the weight that i have been trying to lose forever will be gone!!
i dont know what to do!!

what can you eat on the lemon aid diet? anything ?
I want the best results ! I need to be beach body ready in two weeks! I know how to make the organic lemon mixture up and your suppose to drink it 6 x a day… ? But I’m wondering if you can eat veggies&fruit and clear liquids like tea or can you have fat free yogurt Or skim milk for the best results ?
