I am a 20 year woman. I ran track all through high school and also ran on a college level. I always had a natural ability, and stayed in good shape, so I never watched what I ate. I’m always eating wings, ice cream, chips, you name it. I’m in very good physical shape, but I know eating like this is going to take its toll on me in the long run. I have been reading into the organic/ natural way of eating and am really interested in incorporating this type of diet. I am also interested in learning more about the household products (soap, shampoo, etc.) that are "organic" and if there is a major difference between them and the leading brands. My husband and I are also trying to have a baby, and I was wondering if a major diet change will negatively affect my baby? Or if the diet I am currently on will do more harm? When answering please keep in mind, I’m not looking to lose weight, just get healthier! Thanks!

My 14 month old daughter was having some vaginal redness problems so I decided to stop using baby wash, just for a little while, and just use warm water. I think the baby wash (Head to toe) was the problem because the redness is completely gone and she is back to normal. How long should I just bathe her in plain water? I’m nervous to use any type of soap again, I don’t want her to get irritated all over again.

Should I start using organic baby wash? What are some good kinds that will not cause any irritation? Thanks.

A few people have referred me to www.RubbiDubbi.com to purchase the soap. I can’t use the regular dishwashing detergent anymore because it leaves a REALLY strong scent in the bottles. After sterilizing the baby bottles, I poured water into the bottle and drank the water and it tasted like SOAP! I’ve tried seventh generation already and wanted to know if I should give Rubbi Dubbi a try since it’s formulated specifically for baby bottles, etc.. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

I’ve found some decent shampoo and conditioner (Giovanni) and some natural almond soap that I use instead of bodywash and facewash but does anyone know of any other organic products that are actually good and don’t smell terrible? I’m having a hard time finding things that don’t smell like patchoulli or leave my hair looking like a broomstick.
I have heard of Weleda products but never tried them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried Jason’s products. I have also tried burt’s bees and like some of their products (lotions, lip balm) but their hair products and soaps are not very good, in my opinion.
Also, their belly butter has a lot of vitamin A, as does Weleda’s belly cream. Not sure why they didn’t leave this out, as it seems to be quite controversial.
dcsavak- thanks for the skinorganics suggestion. never heard of them but I will check it out.

We’re trying to set up a budget for groceries, and are wondering if we have budgeted enough. So what do you spend on groceries each month? How many people does this cover in your household? What (generally) do you buy? (Like, do you buy a lot of meats? Fresh veggies/fruits? Organic? Mac-n-cheese?)
Also, do you include things like toilet paper, soap, cleaning supplies in your total grocery bill?
