Hadn’t planned to bf this long as 18 mnths was my planned cut off. Didn’t plan on him being so very addicted to boob however. He’s very stubborn & picky as hell! He really doesn’t eat much in the way of "real food". He eats these freeze dried snap peas, veggie chips, peanut butter cups (I give to him for protein…not Reeses but organic low fat ones) and occasionally a fruit based gummy gelatin free snack and protein type grain bars. He’s never accepted mushed or soft foods and never any fruit or veggies. Can’t even pry his little mouth open to get him to taste it! He only drink water so I can’t fudge it and slip some pureed anything into fruit juice or something. I am having trouble weaning him off boob and also getting him to eat real foods. He can’t use any utensils cuz he won’t take any food that requires them. I try different foods every single day! Rejection after rejection. Fussiest eater I have heard of! ANd he doesn’t still bf for mainly milk, but comfort as he barely sucks.
Forgot to mention we are vegetarians so meat options are not options.One reason it’s so hard to wean is he wakes for the morning anywhere from 3:30-5am but usually the earlier time. It is damned difficult to go through the extremely frustrating and tedious process of distraction in those very early hours to get him not to feed. I have done the mustard method by placing it on my nipple and it works momentarily. He can go an entire day of not feeding if I am not around. Dad watches him one full day on each weekend w/ no issues. I am not at all fearful that he’ll starve at any point if I don’t bf him. If he just woke at a somewhat normal time each morning I could deal with this better, but at the point he wakes I have maybe gotten 3 hours of sleep and I can barely carry him downstairs to play and walk straight let alone go through the steps for a minimum of a half hour while he fusses and freaks out cuz he’s not gettign boob. I am so at a loss!

My little girl is 4.5 months old. She seems to be getting fussy over a newer formula I am mixing with her breastmilk – Parent’s Choice Organic. She does not seem interested in drinking it like she used to. She will turn her head away from the nipple and get distracted easily off the nipple, but fusses for more. Also, can anyone reccomend a tasty organic formula?
