I’m really excited about my new low-fat vegetarian diet. I completed my first day today this is what I had.

Breakfast: A glass of Tropicana Orange juice, steamed spinach, grapes, and organic egg whites(my dog enjoyed himself the yolks)

Snacks: Dried fruit

Lunch: Salad with Romaine lettuce, bean sprouts, chopped tomatoes, avacado, drizzled with fat free ranch dressing. A glass of silk low-fat chocolate soy milk.

Dinner: Sweet potatoes, corn, and beans, another glass of orange juice.

so?
please no ignorant comments like " a nice tender juicy steak would complete this" or anything of the sort.

thanks!
Oh, also I take a women’s multi-vitamin every morning

The website http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm lists 146 reasons why sugar (sucrose) is ruining your health.

To avoid all sugar we would have to live on organic food produced by organic farming and this is clearly not feasible for most of us.

Should we abolish the sugar bowl?

Should we stop consuming desserts, cakes, cookies, biscuits, sweets, icecream, chocolate and so on as they are all full of added sugar?

What about bread, tinned fruit (such as crushed pineapple), salad dressings (such as mayonnaise) and other common processed foods that contain added sugar?

A life without bread and other common processed foods would not be very practical for most of us.

So what do we do? Do we just shrug off Nancy Appleton’s report or do we modify our lifestyle?

im trying to loose about 25-30 Lbs’ and i love chocolate soy milk, which is good for you. and i was thinking, well if this tastes good then im sure that there are more good organic foods out there, and they are healthy. but a bit pricy. anyways, i was gonna try a new healthy lifestyle with organic foods and try it for about 3 weeks. does anyone have any recomadations? or does anyone know if its good to do?

I need some ideas for an easter basket for my son.

Also is there any kind of chocolate or candy ment for toddlers? Like low suger, no artificial sweetners, anything organic or whatever.

Last year for his first easter, I just got him a huge stuffed animal and a bunch of toys since he was only 7 months.

This year Im stumped on what to get for him.

Any Ideas Would Help!!!!

I want to be as healthy as I can be when TTC and once I become pregnant. But does anyone ever wonder why we turned out "ok" when our moms most likely didn’t eat organic foods, avoid caffeine/chocolate, avoid fish, ect. when they were pregnant with us? I often wonder why there are so many "rules" to follow when you’re TTC/Pregnant now, than there were in the 60s, 70s, 80s? Do you have any opinions on why this may be?
