My wife and I are Vegan. She lives on a high quality organic Vegan diet and eats extremely nourishing nutrient dense foods. Right now she’s pregnant with our twins (a girl and a boy) and she has been having a very healthy pregnancy. She absolutely never gets sick and is a picture of perfect health and vitality. Yet people who don’t live like us are always criticizing saying she should be eating milk/dairy and meat and that she is depriving the babies of "nourishment" and is a terrible mother. Like everyone seems to think they would make better parents. My wife is very educated and knows what she’s doing. I think we’ll be great parents and have the right to raise our children with any beliefs we choose. Why are people so unwilling to accept ways of living that are different from their own?

She plans to breast-feed after they’re born and doesn’t have any problem with that, so they’ll get all the right nutrients.

I know babies should not have cow’s milk until a year old, but according to the feeding chart that my doctor gave us they should start eating dairy such as soft pasturized cheese, yogurt and cottage cheese at 8 -10 mo. If these items contain cow’s milk, how are they ok? And if you get soy products, then they aren’t really considered dairy are they? Any recommendation are welcome. Should we start these foods? If so what kinds are best? (We are doing all organic at least for the first year.)

I’ve been reading a lot of articles about how bad soy formula is for babies. My daughter is 8 months and has been drinking it since i stopped breastfeeding her at 5 months. I want to switch her to an organic formula but should i keep her on soy?? I don’t want to hurt her but i really want to stop this formula if its bad. Her dr has no problem with it i’ve asked her before. Anyone with similar situations??? What do you think i should do?

I´ve heard that for babies 6mos old, formula works better than whole organic cow milk. Is that true? I mean, formulas have been in our world for …what 30 years? And cows…. well lets say much longer….

Hi breastfeeders & breastfeeders-to-be!
I nursed three very healthy babies, and created this herbal pad out of necessity. It has been the one baby shower gift and companion for Mommy that continues to be raved about. Every mom I have given it to says they couldn’t do without it. BoobEase™ provides calming comfort and care for mastitis, plugged milk ducts & overfull breasts, and promotes healthy milk flow.
All herbs (Lavender, chamomile & flax seed, plus about a dozen others) are organic and come from trusted sources. The pad is made from muslin, with a washable flannel cover. It is a hefty 8" X 12", and it weighs over a pound!
All you do is pop it in the microwave for a minute or so to heat it up. It stays warm for a good half hour, at least. When you put it on a sore breast, the heat, weight and scent can just take you to another world. It is so calming and healing. Please see my site at www.myshininglight.com/BoobEase.com to order.

Happy nursing!!!
