I’m 13 and going on overweight. Now, my mom and I are going to do Weight Watchers together and train for a 5k. I’ve been trying to avoid processed foods (including frozen meals such as Weight Watchers), but now that I’m doing this with my mom… What should I do? Should I go ahead and start or should I avoid the processed and go for organic?
Also, my goal is 115 (I’m 123 and 5’5"), so how quickly will the diet work? Thanks!
Here is my diet on an average day, in chronological order:
1 slice of homemade pizza (lowfat cheese and chicken)
1 organic multivitamin
1 large leaf of kale spinach
1 chipotle burrito, eaten in 2 sittings (rice, chicken, black beans, lettuce)
1 caesar salad (minimal dressing)
1 berry smoothie (water, OJ, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, ground flaxseed)
1 plate of whole wheat pasta with salmon, shrimp, and lots of olive oil
8 oz warm milk
6-8 cups of green tea drunk throughout the day
I am looking for an overall evaluation, not just an analysis of one meal. Simply saying "a slice of pizza in the morning can’t be good" is useless to me.
I’m sure this question has been asked a lot, so I’m sorry if it has. I’m 5’6, age 16 and about 123 pounds. I usually maintained a healthy weight of about 112-114, but I’ve recently jumped to the weight I am now. Before, I worked out every night but quit. I had a some-what healthy diet then. I decided I could easily lose 5 pounds, so I stuck to healthy diet. Little to no processed foods, a lot of fruit (mainly oranges, grapes, and blueberries), and water or green tea to drink (unless it was Pom Juice, or some other organic drink). I I was a bit confused when I gained 2 more pounds in just a few days instead of losing. I am on a great diet now, even though my father takes me out to eat at restaurants almost every night. Could this be the cause of why I’m still gaining weight? How can I finally shake off the excess pounds even though I have a healthy diet? Thanks!
I wanted to do the lemonade diet today and i got everything from the maple syrup and the cayenne pepper, the lemons and the only problem is i found out that the syrup has to be an organic grade B and mine says grade A and im not sure if it is organice. can someone tell me if i can still go ahead with it with what i have already? thanks, and can someone share their experience if they did the diet? thank you .
im actually looking to do for the cleansing factor, i heard it cleanses your colon and brighten up the skin. I dont want to loose weight at all, i love my body
thank you i will get the grade B organic maple syrup and i will try it. i really didnt want to loose weight im 5’10" and 132 lbs so i dont think i need to, but i do want to cleanse my body, thanks everyone for ur input.
I’ve been vegetarian for the past two years, and it hasn’t exactly made me lose weight.
I’ve been reading up on the "Blood Type Diet" and I’m kind of curious. My dad is B type and my mom is O type. I guess my possibilities are BO or O or B
So, is being vegetarian a bad idea? Should I incorporate lean turkeys and white chicken breasts into my diet? Because when I ate these foods three years ago, I was naturally underweight.
By the way, I currently eat a lot of vegetables and usually 3 liters of water a day. I eat tons of fruit and organic raisin bran for breakfast most of the time.
Hi, I am currently on a high protein diet as I am trying to pack on some muscle. I lift every other day and as it is currently the school year, I find it hard to eat enough protein while I’m in school. Some days I only get 10 grams from cold cuts. I want to distribute my protein intake throughout the day only I don’t want any sugar or extra fat mixed in. Are there any protein bars or similar products that I can make/buy that are healthy, low in fat/fat free, low in sugar (I don’t care about carbs as long as its whole grain), taste good and are (preferably) organic?
I eat organic cold cuts btw. turkey breast without sulphates and sulfites. No bologna or anything…
