Product Description

Kaeline's L'huile de Beauté© is a 100% organic argan oil satin protecting care. Many of the world's most exclusive spas and salons use Kaeline's argan oil based luxury skin care. Kaeline has been featured in Prevention Magazine, Women's Health, Los Angeles Magazine, The New York Times, A Girls Gotta Spa, Truth in Aging among others. It was most recently named to Pierce Mattie's coveted list of Haute Brands for 2008. Argan oil has strong regenerating and hydrating powers. It originates from the fruit of a rare tree that only grows in Morocco. Prized by the native Berbers through ancient times, argan oil is used in beauty, traditional healing, and as a culinary delicacy. It is one of the most highly concentrated natural sources of Vitamin E (tocopherols) on the planet. Rich in essential fatty acids and unique plant sterols; organic argan oil is quite possibly Mother Nature's most perfect skin care creation. 50 ml 1.7 fl. oz. The harvesting and production of argan oil is performed by all-women cooperatives. Your purchase directly benefits women and children of this economically challenged North African rural region and helps preserve the diminishing argan forests, now a designated UNESCO Biosphere Heritage site.

Kaeline is GREAT!!!

Review Date: January 2, 2008

This past summer my family and I spent two weeks in Morocco. During that time we visited women's cooperatives that were producing argan oil products near the beach town of Essouirra. Of course, I bought some products. Upon our return to the United States, I was disappointed to find that I could not purchase argan oil beauty products domestically. Then, to my great surprise I found that one company--Xandra Renouvelle--had become the sole distributor of Kaeline argan oil products in the US. Since August I have NOT stopped using Kaeline products. The Kaeline argan oil products have reduced the number of perimenopausal breakouts that I've experienced each month. I've used Kaeline argan oil on my occasional cold sores and have found it more effective than the more popular cold sore medications. Kaeline has also improved the texture of my hair and provided desparately needed moisture to my arms and legs.

I support Kaeline's mission in that it derives its argan oil from wholly owned and run women's cooperatives in Morocco. These cooperatives are designed to provide income to women, many of whom are single mothers or widows.

Kaeline is certified by EcoCert, a European agency that supports organic and fair trade products.

Since discovering discovering argan oil, I have remained a faithful customer of Kaeline.

This Argan oil is fabulous...don't let the fact that it is an oil alarm you...it has cleard up my adult acne and calmed my sensitive skin like no other product. Now my skin behaves "normally". I like to smooth it into my damp skin so that it traps and holds the moisture. Also, I work a small amount into my hair at night for revilization of my dry, wavy hair.

"This product is fabulous. I have a mild case of rosacea and have been using it for a week now. WOW! What a difference I've seen in my skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin leaving the skin feeling moisturized, yet not greasy. I would highly recommend this product line! Fast delivery... excellent customer service."
Wonderfully moisturizing and non-greasy!

I read about this oil in the NY Times several months ago and bought a bottle and have been using it as a facial moisturizer ever since. I wanted to switch to using an oil on my face, but had a not-good experience with coconut oil (too heavy for my face, but great on the rest of my body) so I was bit nervous about it. It turned out to be a terrific product for me.

This oil is what I would call a 'dry' oil--not heavy and wet like olive oil. Just three drops is enough for my face and neck. Because I use so little, a bottle lasts a really long time--I still have not used up the original bottle--so it has turned out to be quite economical. It give my skin a beautiful glow and has lessened some fine lines around my eyes. I also use it on my cuticles.

I really like the fact that it's certified organic and that it's made by a women's cooperative in Morocco.

I would definitely re-purchase and will do so when I run out.
Keratosis Pilaris

Review Date: January 8, 2009
Reviewer: Karina,
The thought of putting oil on my skin really freaked me out when my friend suggested I try Kaeline Argan Oil. However, I took her advice and tried it out. Not only did it lessen the appearance of fine lines on my forehead and practically stop all breakouts on my face, but it drastically improved the Keratosis Pilaris I've had on my upper arms since I was a child. I've tried numerous products for this ailment and this is the first one that has made a significant improvement without any side effects (extreme sensitivty, burning sensation, etc.). Even when I haven't been 100% faithful in using it, my skin still looks 10x better than it did a year and half ago before I began. And this company is the only I would choose to buy it from because of the quality of their product as well as the fact that they work with all-women cooperatives in Morocco at fair trade prices.
Wonderful oil

This is great for my skin and hair, not greasy at all and absorbs quickly. I tried it on my sunburned skin and it helped a lot - no itching and peeling.
acne gone!

Reviewer: Dawn Stewart,
I have been using argan oil by kaeline for over a year and have had absolutely no acne on my face. I would think since it has oil in the title it would leave my skin with a greasy feeling but it does no such thing. It works great for your face, hair, nails, pretty much everything. LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
Great product, but there may be better options for price

i bought this to use during my pregnancy and was really happy with all aspects of it...this size is basically 5 oz, it lasted about 6 weeks with use about twice a day on my breasts, belly and hips. Very mild, slightly nutty smell was pleasant, it was very easy to apply, especially to damp skin, and no stretch marks yet (and i am very prone to them, have had them on my hips since puberty!). If you take a few extra minutes to gently massage it in, it is far less greasy than most lotions and creams and does last all day. The only thing that made me thing twice about reordering was the price tag-burts bees makes a highly rated product at a 1/4 of the price that i am going to try. Would be a great solution if you were only going to use it on your face....
Wonderful argan oil!

I've been searching for a product to smooth my fluffy hair without making it stiff or greasy. At first I tried One-n-Only Argan Oil, an oil almost identical to the Morrocan Oil line, and it worked pretty well but had a strong smell and many extra ingredients. Kaeline Oil is pure and works perfectly. As others have said, the oil soaks immediately into your hair and skin without feeling greasy. I feel comfortable using Kaeline on my face, because it doesn't contain dyes or extra chemicals. Finally, Kaeline offers a fair trade product, one that supports small cooperatives in Morocco. Definitely worth the price!
Amazingly Soft!

I purchased this product after reading about the several benefits that Argan oil has on hair and skin. As it does tend to make your hair oily, I use this at night prior to a shampoo. It leaves my hair soft and silky. Now, my main reason for purchasing this was for my skin. I use it after washing my face in place of my daily moisturizer. It is light enough to wear under makeup (It does give a bit of a glow to your skin after a while and you may need to blot as with any makeup), but by no means is it greasy. I have very moderate acne and noticed that it has helped a bit with that as well. My skin is softer and smoother. No noticeable difference with fine lines and wrinkles. I prefer this product over a daily moisturizer because it is lighter, not as oily, and does not aggravate my acne. I've been using this for about 3 weeks, and haven't even used a quarter of the bottle. Will definitely purchase again!
Wonderful and Exotic!

I got this for Christmas, and love it! It is a great skin and hair moisturizer. Kind of pricey, though; that is because it is such a rare oil.

I gave it only 4 stars because it is so expensive. It might be worth the price if there weren't other oils on the market that are not as rare and work just as well. Kukui oil from Hawaii is a good alternative, as well as the more common oils like coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, olive oil, etc.

As good as argan oil is, I am not sure it is worth the price when there are other great oils to choose from.
Could be better if it is really organic.

Cannot find any symbol or word on the product to indicate it is "Organic". The product has no odor. The color is light. Is it because it is not organic? It is a good product. I believe it could be better if it is really organic.
Broke me out horribly

I bought Kaeline argan oil, based soley upon the glowing reviews here, to use for my acne, fine lines, and chronically dry hair and scalp. It applies like a dry, odorless oil and instantly absorbs without leaving much if any sheen. Unfortunately for me, everywhere I applied the argan oil I got breakouts including deep painful boils in places that I *never* get acne. Those cysts would take at least a week to go away. Every time those would clear up, I'd try this again (not convinced this was the culprit), and still be left with clogged pores and more breakouts in the areas where I applied the argan oil. It made the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms much worse and more noticeable. I got milia trying to use it lightly around my eyes. On the other hand, it is *too* light to be an effective hydrator for my coarse, ultra-dry hair (I even got some scalp breakouts) or even for my lips. The scalp bumps were the last straw of proof that this did not work with my oily, acne-prone skin. I rarely ever breakout on my scalp!

I have a lot of product left that I am extremely reluctant to use, and (at the time I purchased) they do not allow returns if the product has been even barely used. Although I wanted this to work for me so very much, I will not buy Kaeline argan oil again. I found it was a HUGE waste of money, provided no benefit, and even exacerbated skin problems!

I did some reading, after my fiasco using this product. Oleic acid is one of the major components of (any brand's) argan oil. Oleic acid can be highly comedogenic for some. Your mileage may vary.

It looks like the majority of people really benefit from this product (although many have reviewed solely this product for what that's worth). However, no product works for everyone. Likewise, a negative experience and critical review should not be automatically judged as unhelpful because it does not fall with the majority.
