Is Organic baby food better for the baby?

FAQs
I have a 7 month old who will be starting 2nd foods soon. I noticed that there were some organic baby foods out there priced a bit more. Is the higher price worth it? Are there any advantages to this organic stuff? Thanks for any input.

I’ve often wondered this. I suppose it might be worth a try. And I found "Earth’s Best’ a organic brand at a local Target in my neighborhood,it’s just slightly cheaper than Gerber. Might see if you find it where you live. It’s also available online.

Its healthier if you prepare the food yourself, this way you will be at ease on the foods shes taking.

Not really no.
Usually, organic foods are grown in a way that is more sustainable to the environment, without pesticides.
But, with adequate washing and rinsing (as you would with veggies you eat yourself), there is no added benefits, unless you delve really deeper into the genetic make-up of some vegetables…which bothers a few parents of course, but certainly not me!
I don’t think the extra money spent is really necessary.
I make food for my son, and I buy the same type of vegetables for him as myself, I really don’t see the point in forking out an extra 3 dollars per vegetable, simply because the sticker says it’s organic!
As far as organic jarred food…I really wouldn’t spend the extra money.
It’s all the same stuff in there!

i think its only really beneficial if you are making it yourself.
i honestly dont and didnt have enough time in the day to make my own baby food (well my son isnt on baby food much anymore since hes 17 months) so he always go the jarred stuff. he actually liked the non organic stuff better than the organic ones. and how can you really know that its organic? itsn ot that hard to slap a label on anything and call it "organic"
