Organic sugar is man made sugar. Sugar is sugar as far as your body is concerned. But do not confuse sugar with fats (lipids) they are not the same at all.
The big difference between organic and not organic sugars is the organic sugars are grown according to the USDA national organic program regulations and cannot use synthetic pesticides or fungicides and no herbicides at all (but considering with cane sugar most the weed control is done via burning there would be little difference between the two). organic sugar generally is not bleached white which means there are likely some more nutritional value to the sugar.
With beet sugar there will be a huge difference come late summer 2008 when the beets for sugar start being harvested. This will be when GMO beets will be put in our sugar. This will not happen with organic sugar beets as GMO’s are banned in organic agriculture.
If you are avoiding sugar it is best to buy whole foods and learn how to cook them. Processed foods are never good for our bodies be they organic or not. and when you do all your own cooking you know exactly what you are eating.

sugar and organic sugar are the same calorie wise. the only difference between them is that regular sugar is grown with pesticides and chemicals and organic sugar is grown naturally. if you are trying to lose weight its best to steer as clear of any sugar as possible. however there are calorie free sugars like splenda which are ok to consume when dieting.

the only difference between organic and normal anything is the chemicals used in growing and processing the food. that means that fruit isn’t sprayed with pesticides, sugar is not purified with chemicals, etc.
organic sugar is just as difficult for your body to digest as normal sugar. you need to try and cut out processed sugar all together. try sweetening your food with a little honey, and eating fruit for dessert.

organic sugar is better for you in that it hasn’t been through so many chemically altering processes. it probably is about the same in calories.
but you should also know.
all carbs turn into sugars when they enter your body.
along with most sugar substitutes.
the best substitute i have been able to find is xylitol.
it’s much better for the body.
and it has many anti-cavity qualities also.
