it's easy to use & wash, long dry time.

| I love this diaper. The print is so cute. I like that you can re-use the shell for multiple changes. I like that the soakers are all organic so they clean up easier than man-made products, with less stink issues. They make diaper changes for my 18 month old so much quicker & trimmer than my old system. And I'm looking forward to trying them out on our newborn soon. The soakers do take a long time to dry & the shells have been known to fade if washed in hot, so follow washing instructions. |
My favorite cloth

These are my favorite cloth diapers. They are really trim and they almost never leak. The cloth inserts are really narrow in the front, which gives them a wonderful fit, without all the bulk at the front that so many cloth diapers have. They are really easy to change and wash up wonderfully. I also like that the shells work with other inserts that I have. They are very versitile.
The wildflower print is my very favorite, but they are all very cute. |
Nice shell, but cotton soaker isn't great

I like Grobaby shell. It is very cute, soft, and easily adjustable with the sizing snaps. The diaper is fairly trim and fits my 7 lb newborn better than Fuzzibunz. The applix tabs make it easy to put on, like disposables, with the stretchy fabric giving you a snug fit. The applix tabs are also smoother than the Bumgenius velcro tabs so I don't hsve to worry about irritating or scratching the baby's skin.
Unfortunately, I have a few problems with the the snap-in cotton soaker. Although I like that the soakers are made of organic cotton, they stain easily and take a long time to dry on a rack. But my major problem with the soaker is that it doesn't fit in the shell when the snaps are adjusted down to their smallest size; it sticks out about half an inch on the front. This is a problem for newborns who still have the umbilical cord stump. In fact, even at its smallest size, the diaper will cover the umbilical cord stump area (however, this may be the problem with all one-size diapers).
Lastly, I want to mention that the shell often gets soiled and cannot be reused. Unless you're ok with reusing a shell moist with urine, I would advise against getting extra soakers. |
Pretty, slim between the legs, but a bit messy!

I have several of these and have 3 inserts for each shell.
What I love about this diaper:
1. Pretty! There are lots of bright, attractive colors and patterns. We have "boy" and "girl" patterns. I love them all!
2. Non-irritating velcro. The tabs are not scratchy and won't irritate baby's skin. They're almost smooth to the touch!
3. Perfect laundry tabs. They fold right over on themselves!
4. Overlapping tabs. If you have a skinny baby, the tabs will fasten on top of each other for a snug fit.
5. Elastic in the liner. There is elastic around the legs to help hug the liner to your baby.
6. Snap-in liners. No more bunching up! These liners snap right in to the shell.
7. Slim in the middle. Cloth diapers are bulkier than disposables. Period. When our baby wears these, I can tell by the way she is walking. They are slimmer than the other AIO (all in one)'s we have tried and I really like that!
What I would change:
1. We have LOTS of "leakage" from the liner to the shell with poopy diapers. The elastic helps, but if the baby poops, chances are we are going to have to rinse and change the shell. We don't often make it through a day without going through at least 4 shells. With other AIO systems, we can make it through a day with 2 shells.
2. Taller rise. Our baby is short and chunky. At 15 months old, she is totally unsnapped, so the rise will not go any higher for her. She may outgrow these before any of our other cloth diapers. These were the first we had to go up in size every time she grew, also.
3. Wing droop. With the velcro closures, there is nothing to hold the wings up - the part that is tucker under and around your baby's belly. With the snaps, this is addressed, but the velcro leaves some hanging wings on skinny babies. Our chunky baby doesn't have much of an issue with it, but it could be troublesome if your baby isn't full-figured. :-)
Overall, I really like these. Very functional, but you might need a few shells more than other AIO systems. :-) |
Love the pattern.

| I love this pattern and can not wait to use it on our newborn. These are the diapers that work the best and are lucky to have them in so many different patterns. |
