Yes, just don’t put cereal in a bottle. At 6 months when baby is ready for cereal, I always mixed it with breastmilk and fed it with a spoon. It’s more nutritious than mixing it with water…. the benefits are the same as the benefits of breastmilk when baby nurses.

This is a great idea. It will make it a more familiar taste for the little one. (I assume you are breastfeeding) Not sure of the guaranteed benefits but breast milk is the best and organic is also very good.

When you start solids, baby is more likely to eat cereal that is mixed with your breast milk rather than just water; it’s a familiar taste. I recommend checking out a great book that is focused on healthy baby food that you can make at home, "Super Baby Food" by Yaron.

That’s a great idea as long as your baby is old enough. The AAP recommends to not give a baby anything except breastmilk or baby formula (mixed the correct way) until the baby is 6 months old. Although my WIC counselor said I could introduce mushy baby food at 4 months.
So just make sure your baby is old enough.

Absolutely – when you start your baby on baby cereal (after getting approval from the baby’s pediatrician – usually around 6 months – and always from a spoon not in a bottle) you should absolutely mix the cereal with breast milk if you have a little bit of extra expressed milk – it is the healthiest option – as breast milk is the healthiest liquid that baby can get

Yeah it sounds like a great idea to me
Benefits? ….well your breast milk!! Organic cereal is great…and it’s supposed to be mixed with breast milk /or milk….or formula….or water….you know, whatever you like!! but breast milk is the best for sure!!!!

Just make sure you are mixing it right before feeding – cereal mixed with formula thickens if it sits for a few minutes. Cereal mixed with breastmilk will get runny and gross if it sits because the live cells start digesting the cereal.
