Best OTC Vit D supplement

| I just had my Vit D level tested and it came back extremely low. This brand was recommended to me by a physician to raise my Vit D level. Each drop contains 1000 IU in a hypoallergenic MCT oil base that is easy to absorb. A dropper-full can be used to easily get a dose of 25,000-30,000 units. That high of a dose is not recommended long-term, but if you need a high dose Vit D supplement, this is the best OTC one available. |
Great Product!

This product was recommended to me by my chiropractor. If you live anywhere north of southern Florida, you do not get enough vitamin D from the sunshine in the winter months, according to what I've read. As clouds cover the sun most of the time, you do not even get enough of the vital substance in the summer months in northern Wisconsin where I live. The ideal way to obtain your vitamin D is through sun exposure to as much of body as possible several times a week. As your body has the ability to store vitamin D, but will eventually exhaust its stores of D, your D levels need to be replenished on a regular basis. In the winter months a tanning bed can be a good way to obtain your vitamin D. The tanning bed should have an electronic and not magnetic ballast. Further information on this subject can be found on Joseph Mercola's website. There are certain optimal hours to be out in the sun, which are from 11 o'clock in the morning through 3 o'clock in the afternoon. This time span is when the D3 being giving off by the sun's rays will most effectively reach your skin. The body must have D3 and not it's precursor D2.
For those of us in northern climates and for whatever reasons are not able to use a tanning bed, supplemental vitamin D is essential to our diets. If your sun is limited to nonexistent, this is true for you also, no matter how close to the equator you live. The next best option is taking supplemental vitamin D, such as this product on a regular basis. A liquid form is most usable by the body, according to my chiropractor and is the reason he recommends and sells this product. This product has no taste. It has a dropper. You add the mount to be taken to a small amount of water and drink it. |
The only type of D that has worked for me

| When I first had my D tested it was frighteningly low. I tried several varieties of pills, and they only brought my D levels up slightly. This product, however, is the first one that has actually brought my levels up into the "normal" range. Plus, it's super easy to use...just 1 drop per 1,000 iu, doesn't taste like anything, and the bottle lasts a long time. Highly recommended! |
